Asia LEDS Partnership launch community of practice on clean mobility

The Asia LEDS Partnership have announced the launch of its community of practice on transport-clean mobility. Expressions of interest to participate in the community of practice are now open.

Formulating and deploying low emission development strategies to meet clean transport objectives can be a complex process, involving integrated approaches that include short and long term analysis of technical, socioeconomic, financial and often political factors. Gaps in available expertise to address these requirements can constrain strategy development and implementation at the sectoral level. The clean mobility community of practice will address these shortcomings by facilitating deeper technical collaboration and peer to peer collaboration on the following topics:

  • Cleaner mobility with a focus on using clean fuels, electric mobility, technology and creating supportive infrastructure
  • Policy and regulatory frameworks for public transport and involving the private sector

In 2018, the community of practice will explore these topics through discussions, seminars, case studies and more. Please read the concept note for additional information.

The Asia LEDS Partnership invites LEDS GP members to nominate suitable persons from national and subnational governments, regulators, utilities, line ministries, transport operators, technical/training institutions and experts from the transport sector.

Participating countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, additional TBD

How to join: Please join here. For more information, email alpsecretariat@iclei.org and transport@globalclimateactionpartnership.org
