Costa Rica’s regulatory framework has a proactive stance towards sustainable mobility, pedestrian safety and promotion of electric transportation. Particularly, Curridabat’s Municipal Strategic Plan for the years 2023-2027, explores objectives and investment projects that promote sustainable and multimodal mobility alternatives, considering safety, comfort, affordability and accessibility.

The objective of this technical assistance was to develop a Road Map for the elaboration of an Integrated Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan that considers national policies in terms of electric mobility.
