Technical Guidelines for a Charging Infrastructure Strategy for Mexico City
The Government of Mexico has established objectives and programs related to the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and the deployment of charging infrastructure. The National Electric Mobility Strategy (ENME) outlines fiscal incentives and financial programs to support the adoption of this technology, and includes targets, among which, it states that by 2030 there will be a public electric charging system developed in cities and by 2040, 100% of new light and heavy-duty vehicle sales will be zero-emission.
The purpose of this technical assistance was to develop technical guidelines for a charging infrastructure implementation strategy for Mexico City.
