Tanara Lauschner

Tanara Lauschner is the Undersecretary of Science and Technology for the Amazon at Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. PhD and Professor at the Federal University of the Amazonas, and researcher in the area of computing.

André Lucena

André Lucena is an associate professor at the Energy Planning Program at COPPE/UFRJ, working on research in the areas of integrated assessment modeling, global climate change, and energy and environmental economics.

Bruno Brasil

Bruno Brasil is Director of Sustainable Production and Irrigation at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil and researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa). He is responsible for coordinating the Sectorial Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change and Low Carbon Emissions in Agriculture (ABC+ Plan).

Suliete Bare

Suliete Baré, Indigenous to the Baré People, Forestry Engineer, Masters in Human Rights. She is currently the Director of the Department of Climate Justice at the Brazilian Ministry of Indigenous People. Suliete works with territorial rights of the indigenous people with an emphasis on climate justice.

Berit von Kurnatowski

Berit von Kurnatowski is a highly experienced lawyer with a specialization in International and Human Rights Law, having earned her LL.M from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. With over eight years of legal expertise, Mrs. von Kurnatowski began her career in 2010 as a consultant for the German Federal Ministries of Transport, Infrastructure and Urban Development (BMVBS) and Environment and Construction (BMU). Since 2017, she joined the International Climate Initiative (IKI), where she currently serves as Deputy Head of Division, contributing to global climate action and sustainable development at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

Felix William Fuentebella

 Atty. Felix William Buquid Fuentebella (“Wimpy”) holds the position of Undersecretary of the Department of Energy. He first held this position from September, 2016 to June, 2022 under then Secretary of Energy Alfonso Cusi. He was then re-appointed under current Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla last September, 2022. Wimpy hails from Tigaon, Camarines Sur. He served as a member of the Philippine House of Representatives of, now, the Fourth legislative district of Camarines Sur. As a member of House of Representatives, he pursued and passed several bills most notably Republic Act 9160, the Anti-Money Laundering Act and amendments to Republic Act 9184, the Procurement Act.  Wimpy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1997 from the University of the Philippines, started his Bachelor of Laws in the Ateneo Law School and completed it in San Sebastian College Recoletos Institute of Laws. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2009.
