“Financing the Future Global Summit” Side Event: Mini-grid Policy and Regulation 101

This workshop is targeted towards African Mini-grids Community of Practice (AMG CoP) member countries that are relative newcomers to the mini-grid sector. The objective of this “crash course” is to provide foundational mini-grid program and policy knowledge from an institutional perspective that will support new entrant countries in effectively evaluating, strategically planning, and developing successful, sustainable mini-grid programs of their own – with an eye towards mini-grid finance mobilization. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with and learn from African country government representatives who are further along in their mini-grid program design and implementation.
