This document is the final result of the technical assistance provided to the Consortium of Provincial Governments of Ecuador (CONGOPE), as part of the support offered by the Climate Action Accelerator of the Regional Platform for Low Emission and Development Strategies (LEDS LAC) in collaboration with Asociación Sustentar.

The objective of the assistance was to carry out a diagnosis, benchmarking and roadmap for the implementation of circular economy strategies in the agricultural, fishing and tourism sectors in Ecuador, focusing on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The Climate Action Accelerator is a service offered by the LEDS LAC Platform that provides rapid, high-quality, short-term technical assistance to developing countries. It is a service funded by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). LEDS LAC is a network of leading transformational organizations and individuals working on the promotion, design and implementation of LEDS for resilient, low-emission development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
