| 7:30 | Board Buses for Site Visit Location: Front of Grand Carimã Hotel Please meet out front of the Grand Carimã with ample time to get on the bus so that we may depart at exactly 8:00 AM for a site visit of Iguaçu National Park and the Iguaçu Falls. |
| 8:00 | Depart Hotel for Site Visit Location: Bus to Iguaçu National Park After leaving the hotel, the tour guide will give you some important information about the Falls and distribute tickets to the National Park. When arriving at the National Park, participants will need to unload from the bus and show tickets at the main entrance. From there, we will re-board the bus and drive to the start of the main trail. This drive is about 20 – 30 minutes (10km). We will de-board the bus at the start of the Devil’s Throat trail. This trail is approximately 1.5km in total and has several viewpoints of panoramic views of the falls. At the end, there is a platform with a view of Devil’s Throat, a waterfall which straddles the border between Argentina and Brazil. It’s a massive U-shaped chasm that spans about 700 meters (2,300 feet) wide and plunges around 80 meters (262 feet) deep. After the visit, we will re-board the bus and return to the hotel. |
